Confidence 04:28
With confidence, it’s easier to be yourself when seeing her It’s only one emotional experience you’re searching for You collected tears from all the years you couldn’t bear to speak your mind Inspect your fears, consult your peers because you’re running out of time Turn around and walk away Hold your tongue for one more day Take a look inside and see how you feel Determination, an achilles heel Take a breath and then open the door Is it everything you’re hoping for? Take a look outside you’re missing the sun You could be running around and having fun Take a moment, contemplate who you are Assertiveness a giant leap too far? Oh, are you gonna call her?
2.
Nexus 03:27
Walking And you were dragging your heels while we were talking Because you know how it feels to be an extra in the film of your life And in the nexus You’re just one ant in a hive You’re just one
3.
Lasermaze 04:00
Keep it in the corner In the shadows In a worn-out suitcase Hiding in the corners You can find me in a maze of light Keep it for the weekend It’s only two days to Friday Speak it, you’re among friends You’re a beacon in the dead of night I see you dressed in white We are in a maze of light
4.
You’re not centred, you’re just cynical Take point and I’ll follow you We’ll keep pace with your solitude Your conscience is gonna call on you to come home It’s her face in the picture frame A slow dance in the falling rain Her friends are gonna call her name You’re alone Candlelight through a curtain Undisturbed, uncertain You’re chasing every shadow on the wall Another fight in the family You’re losing sight of reality You’re falling through the floor of your room Take point and I’ll follow you We’ll keep pace with your solitude Your conscience is gonna call on you to come home It’s her face in the picture frame A slow dance in the falling rain Her friends all call her name and you’re alone You’re not centred You’re just cynical

The Fight 04:06
We’re just dry stones balanced on our rough edges Glued with moss and air Make a wall that stands forever Keeps the cut grass from the wild these stones might stand forever, but those edges make a ladder Anger climbs If horns are made to lock And ears are made to block Then slammed doors need a knock Boats are made to rock My mouth is full of pins Sharpened words pointed in If I let them out, my pain ends But yours begins These teeth are filed sharp When they bite, they leave a mark So I bite my tongue for everlong We’ve forgotten what it’s like The flick of hate, the prick of fight The moment when the tears fall We’re dead inside, we had it all
6.
Careful, you’re bending the frame Be gentle, extinguish the flame Walking, smoking, drinking in the sun in the park Staring at the embers then go home in the dark Maybe we’re moving too slow Safety, it’s overrated you know? Driving, parking, getting on the train to the sea Staring at the embers, see you staring at me
7.
When the time comes you gotta run Run from the inevitable consequences, son When the time comes you gotta hide Hide from all the hypocrites who stand now at your side What time is it? When the time comes You gotta run Horizon is black The ground beneath us is red You’re re-living your feelings from the thing that we said And when the times comes you gotta hide Hide away from everything and keep it inside What time is it?
8.
A Prism 03:19
A prism divides the beam A schism, we’re in-between It isn’t the final scene The present is all we know Unpleasant, but there you go The crescent, a soothing glow
9.
Your Honesty 04:18
In summertime we find you fallow The waves are rolling into the shallow The leaves are falling The engine’s stalling now The mood is calling out for a change Oh, your honesty’s on show And oh, it’s gonna have to go The evening air descends with a promise An unread note on a tree in a forest The names are chosen The night is closing in The thought’s imposing on you now Oh, your honesty’s on show And honestly it’s gotta go
10.
Stop mumbling to my heart Cos it’s crumbling into parts You tried fumbling in the dark Now he’s tumbling but there’s no spark They’ve been wondering where you are Cos it’s thundering rain out there But in the underground the weather’s fine Maybe London could be yours and mine
11.
All we had was fire and fog We needed not much more You bring the food, I’ll drink the wine It’s fine Some days we just sit about Breathing slowly side by side And when we’re old, we’ll have splinters in our voices and breadcrumbs in our lungs I’ll still be coughing ‘I love you’s' But your ears won’t be so young Some days were meant for sitting around Time may deepen the creases in your skin But I won’t mind You’ll still be bold and decent Still be warm as sunshine Some days were meant for sitting around
12.
Why can’t we look away from the horror on the screen And cry for the fear and pain no-one ever should have seen? Soon it’ll be too late to correct our moral course Choke on overwhelming hate Ruled by ignorance and force Every night we go to bed thinking tomorrow might be another beginning We’re never right and our hopes are just spinning away We carry on with our lives in a bubble like nothing’s wrong We’re blind to the trouble It won’t be long ‘til we’re searching the rubble in vain Why can’t we walk away from the scenes of witnessed crimes? We try to live one more day with these visionary minds
